The Autism & ADHD Assessment Hub is dedicated to providing high-quality autism assessments for both children and adults. Our first hub is based in Birmingham, and we plan to expand across the UK. We aim to support individuals and families facing long wait times for a diagnosis, offering a supportive and empathetic approach every step of the way.
Our Birmingham hub is led by Alison Walne and Leanne Douglas, who bring diverse experience from the NHS, occupational health, and the prison service. Both are HCPC registered and passionate about providing high-quality assessments and tailored recommendations.
The assessment process
We understand the challenges and uncertainties of seeking an autism diagnosis. Our process is designed to be clear and straightforward:
- Referral: Refer yourself or a loved one through our website, by phone, or via email.
- Screening: Complete a questionnaire to gather essential information and support documentation.
- Initial Consultation: After a non-refundable fee of £195, our lead clinician will conduct a 30-minute call to discuss the process and ensure it’s the right path for you.
- Assessment: We use tools like ADOS-2 and ADI-R to conduct a thorough assessment. Our multidisciplinary team ensures that assessments are in line with the gold standard NICE guidelines.
- Report and Feedback: Receive a comprehensive report and detailed feedback to understand the results and next steps.
We offer both face-to-face (f2f) and remote assessment options. Emphasising f2f assessments
allows our clinicians to observe subtle behavioural cues that might be missed during remote assessments, ensuring a more accurate and reliable diagnosis.
