Ready to start your assessment?

Step 1

Referral

As soon as we receive your referral, we will ensure to send you our welcome pack, which includes all the information you need to feel informed about your choice to have the assessment. This includes useful information about our service and detailed next steps covering the whole assessment process. It will also include a pre-screening questionnaire and a list of the supporting documents we will need for the assessment to go ahead.

Step 2

Initial Consultation

One of our clinical team will arrange to speak with you, either on the telephone or via video call. Prior to this session, they will review all supporting documentation to gain a better understanding of your personal journey. During the call, they will discuss any current or historical concerns, your reasons for seeking an assessment (for you or your child), and answer any questions you may have. This allows you to make an informed decision on whether or not a full assessment would be beneficial for you at this stage.

Step 3

QB Test

The QB test is a diagnostic screening tool used to objectively capture information to assess ADHD. It’s an important part of the assessment process and uses infra-red markers to measure an individual’s ability to concentrate, movements and impulsivity. The test usually last around 15-20 mins and can be done remotely. This can be completed at home via a PC or laptop with a webcam.

Step 4

ADOS-2 Test

The ADOS is a semi-structured, standardised tool used in the assessment of autism. It looks at communication, social skills, play, and restricted or repetitive behaviours or interests. It helps the clinician gain valuable information about how people communicate and engage with others and the world around them, through play and creativity. The ADOS can be used with people of all ages, abilities, and language skills.

Step 5

ADI-R 7 (Young) DIVA-5 Assessment

After both assessments are complete, our multi-disciplinary team will meet within one week to discuss their findings, based on both assessment sessions. Afterward, you will receive a full written report, which clearly explains the findings of the clinical team, based on information gathered during the assessments. This will set out how they have arrived at their findings and what their findings mean.

Step 6

Report

Step 7

Feedback Session

Our lead clinician will contact you after you have received the full report. This session is usually conducted via telephone or video chat and lasts around 30-45 minutes. This gives you the opportunity to digest the information in the report and ask questions. For older children, we recommend they be present during this session as they often find it helpful. During this session, the clinician will discuss how they came to their diagnosis and what recommendations they would make as you continue your journey with a better understanding.
