Child Dyspraxia Assessments
We offer comprehensive dyspraxia assessments for children that are completed by HCPC-registered Occupational Therapists with optional paediatrician sign-off for children.
Our child dyspraxia assessments in Cambridge are are £895 and are personalised to review your child’s coordination, organisation and motor planning. We also offer a flexible payment plan to help you spread the cost

Adult Dyspraxia Assessments
We offer comprehensive dyspraxia assessments for adults over 18 that are completed by our fully qualified team of HCPC-registered Occupational Therapists.
Our adult dyspraxia assessments in Crambridge are personalised and review your coordination, organisation and motor planning.
Our adult dyspraxia assessments are £895 and we also offer a flexible payment plan to help you spread the cost.

How Will The Dyspraxia Assessment Be Completed?
Our dyspraxia assessments in Cambridge are flexible: however we do require certain aspects to be complete face-to-face just to ensure our team doesn’t miss any key details that can’t be detected via a video call.
Our hub is located in the centre of Cambridge and always offers a warm, welcoming and supporting environment for our patients and their family members.
The dyspraxia assessment is usually completed within 8 weeks from receiving your referral, however in rare circumstances this can take slightly longer. If you’d like to take things a little slower, or have a busy schedule we can rearrange meetings to be flexible around you, just please let our professional team know in advance.

Our Dyspraxia Assessment Process
Here at Autism & ADHD Assessment Hub we have a simple 4-step process to complete your private dyspraxia assessment, this process applies to both children and adults. This will provide you with a clear, yet detailed breakdown of your assessment.
Our 4-step process is as follows:
1. Pre-assessment questionnaire
For child assessments, this questionnaire will be completed by a parent and covers your child’s developmental history, early milestones, school experiences and everyday challenges. For adult assessments, you will need to answer questions on your developmental history, education, work and daily challenges.
2. Diagnostic assessment session
You or your child will attend a session with our specialist team. During the session the assessor will use industry standard tools to assess motor coordination, processing speed, organisation and planning. We require this to be completed at our Cambridge hub and this can take between 2-3 hours.
3. Report & review
Following the assessment, we will gather and analyse your results and background information provided. Following this, you will be provided with an easy-to-read yet comprehensive report on your results. Reports include personalised support recommendations for school, education, workplace and every day life.
4. Feedback
Once you receive your reports, we will arrange for a feedback session so you are clear on the outcome. This is a session designed to answer any questions and discuss any recommended support and what that mean for you or your child. This is completed via video call and usually lasts for an hour.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are the advantages to gaining a diagnosis?
There are multiple benefits to gaining a diagnosis.
A diagnosis can help people with autism to access interventions that are helpful to them, in terms of meeting requirements for safety, acceptability, efficacy and effectiveness with people meeting the same diagnostic criteria.
A diagnosis can also ensure that reasonable adjustments are made to a person with autism’s care and that interventions are appropriately adapted.
An autism diagnosis can help facilitate access to other forms of statutory protection. For example, an autism diagnosis may be considered when a person seeks an Education, Health and Care Plan.
For some people, receiving a diagnosis may serve as validation in terms of them understanding themselves and their individual outlook on the world. This might also help to alleviate any feelings of difference and boost confidence. This can also assist in enabling people to access greater social support from within the autistic community.
Do I need a GP referral?
No – you can self-refer for an assessment through the Autism Assessment Hub via our Make a Referral page.
Do you offer financing options?
Yes, we offer flexible payment options over 3, 6, 9 and 12months.
Can I claim for the assessment through my health insurance?
No. We don’t currently accept funding via private health insurance providers.
How do I go about getting a private diagnosis?

From what age can you assess a child?
Potentially from the age of 4 for autism, and age 6 for ADHD but we will always be clear on the appropriateness of an assessment.
What is your waiting time for an appointment?
Currently we are able to offer a first assessment appointment within 2 – 4 weeks of an initial screening.
Will my assessment be face to face or remote?
At least one session will be face to face, usually the ADOS-2 session for autism and combined assessments, and the initial consultation for ADHD only assessments. Other sessions as part of the pathway will likely be remote offering you flexibility.
