We recently attended NASEN Live, one of the leading events in the UK for professionals working in special educational needs and disabilities. Held in Birmingham, the event brought together a wide range of people committed to better outcomes for neurodivergent children, young people and adults.
We had the chance to speak with educators, therapists and support staff about the work we do across autism and ADHD assessment, as well as our pre and post diagnostic support services. Many were interested in how we support local authorities, schools and families in a way that is both accessible and tailored.
There was also strong interest in our free neurodiversity training for schools. These sessions are designed to offer practical tools and insight, while also holding space for reflection. It was encouraging to see so many educators and school staff not only open to learning, but actively seeking better ways to support their students.
One of the most meaningful parts of the day was speaking with neurodivergent educators who shared how their own experiences help shape more compassionate classrooms. Their insight and care were a powerful reminder that inclusion is not a box to tick. It is a culture, and one that grows stronger when those with lived experience are leading it.
We also took time to visit other exhibitors and were struck by the range of resources and expertise under one roof. From communication tools and mental health services to SEND support groups and digital innovations, there was no shortage of brilliant work being done.
Thank you to the NASEN team for organising such a warm and welcoming event. It was a pleasure to be part of the day and we are already looking forward to next year.
