We were recently invited to Phoebus Software in Solihull to speak with their team as part of a Lunch and Learn session.
The focus was on autism and ADHD in the workplace, how traits can present, and what meaningful support can look like. Dr Zoe McGovern and Dr Jessica Donohoe delivered the session, covering everyday adjustments that help create a working environment where people can think clearly, communicate openly and feel comfortable being themselves.
Phoebus made space for questions and conversation throughout. The team listened, reflected and brought their own insight into the discussion. The questions were thoughtful and honest, and it was clear that people were interested in learning without judgement.
There was also openness around where things might need to change. That kind of honesty matters. It sets the tone for a culture where people are not expected to fit into one way of working.
This visit came about after a conversation at the Neurodiversity at Work Conference earlier this year. Since then, Phoebus have followed through with intention, not only by inviting us in, but by showing a real commitment to making their workplace more supportive.
The organisation told us they received encouraging feedback following the session, and we are now planning a second visit to continue the work together.
We are looking forward to building on this and hope to support other organisations who are beginning their own neuroinclusion journey. If your team is exploring how to support neurodivergent colleagues more effectively, we are always open to a conversation, please feel free to contact us today!
